Manufacturing furniture in the workshop using hand tools, power tools and machinery including the spray booth (training will be given)
Test assembling furniture and packing for delivery
Assisting with the development of workshop processes
Keeping the workshop tidy and clean
Keeping customer records updated on Trello, our Customer Relationship Management system
What type of person are we looking for?
The ideal candidate will:
Be a graduate from any degree discipline, but graduates from design and manufacturing backgrounds would be particularly encouraged to apply
Have hands-on experience with woodwork, cabinetry, or furniture using hand and power tools (this does not need to be work experience, it could be from your course or a hobby)
Have excellent attention to detail
Be a confident communicator and able to liaise with customers face to face and over the phone
Be motivated and enthusiastic to learn and progress
Be a problem solver
Be able to lift and carry, sometimes heavy, materials and construct furniture both in the workshop and customers’ homes
Be flexible to work additional hours at evenings or weekends during very busy periods
Have a full clean UK driving licence
The following would be a bonus, but don’t be put off if not:
Experience or knowledge of using 3D design tools such as Polyboard, SolidWorks, Solid Edge or similar
A degree in furniture design or similar
